In this release, we’ve made some of the final preparations toward Mercury Network’s ability to archive historical orders. There are also changes to help vendors verify their accounts in order to soon begin directly receiving payments for appraisal fees, plus more progress toward the retirement of XSites. Read on for highlights, and check the release notes for complete details of changes in this update.
Coming soon: Archiving historical orders
With this release, we put finishing touches on Mercury Network's ability to archive orders which have no activity for 18 months. By moving these historical orders to a different database, the platform's performance and efficiency will be significantly enhanced, which paves the way for several exciting features to come in 2021.
At first, Mercury Network will archive orders for customers who are no longer placing orders in the platform. Vendors assigned to those orders will be able to find them by selecting Archived when searching for orders.
After that, we'll begin a phased approach to archiving orders for all Mercury Network accounts, and you'll be notified before orders in your account are affected. Once your orders are being archived, you'll always be able to find them just as you would an active order. If you open an archived order without making changes, it will remain active until being re-archived that night. If you make changes to an archived order, it will become active for 18 months. You can read more about archiving here.
New way for vendors to verify their identity to receive payments
Vendors: before you can begin receiving payments directly to your bank account, you’ll first need to verify your identity. For the most part, this is accomplished using the basic information entered when enrolling. But, there will be some cases when our payment processor will require more information. This release adds an easy way for vendors to supply the required identity document.
If further verification is required, you’ll receive an email, and you’ll see Unverified in the Payments column in the Accounts view. To provide the required ID document just click Edit for that account. In the dialog, you’ll see a Verify Account section where you can upload your government-issued ID, including a driver’s license or passport. For a driver’s license or state ID, you’ll need to upload the front and back. These should be color JPG or PNG images no greater than 8000x8000 pixels.
Just a note: Before uploading your ID document, ensure all the information in the required fields is correct. Most of the time, verification fails simply because of a “fat-finger” mistake or mismatched information. There’s no harm in re-entering the info and clicking Save. If verification still fails after that, go ahead and upload the ID document.
We look forward to launching the full set of features to enable payments to vendors from their Mercury Network clients VERY soon!
